Landscaping

OneViewPro for landscapers

Landscaping is sold on pictures and bought by the season. People search when the grass starts growing, when the leaves come down, and when they want the patio done before summer. This keeps your profile showing fresh work through all of it, including the months you're too busy to think about it.

How customers find landscapers on Google

Customers rarely search for 'landscaper' in the abstract. They search for the job: lawn mowing, spring cleanup, mulch, sod, a retaining wall, a paver patio, leaf removal. Many of those searches arrive in waves through the year, and a profile that only says 'landscaping services' misses most of them.

What wins the click is usually the photos. Someone choosing between three companies on a map scrolls through the pictures, and a gallery of recent, finished, local work beats a picture of a lawnmower. Plenty of landscaping profiles got a burst of photos the week they were set up and very little since.

You also work across an area rather than from a storefront. A crew based on one side of town can rank well near the yard and barely appear in the neighborhoods where the better-paying installs are, and without measuring it you'd never know.

What matters most here

Photo publishing

Your crews take the best marketing you have every day, and it stays on their phones. The upload link gets those before-and-after shots off the job site in a minute, and the drip puts them on your profile a few a week, so the gallery doesn't go stale between seasons.

Google Business posts

Posts follow the calendar: cleanups and planting in spring, mowing and irrigation in summer, leaves in fall. Because they're written from your confirmed services and the jobs your crew photographed, a post about a finished patio is about your patio, not a generic one.

Rank tracking

Track the searches that bring in the work you want more of, such as 'patio installation' as well as 'lawn care', and the map shows which parts of your area you're winning each one in.

Review management

The happiest customer you'll ever have is standing in the finished yard. Put the QR code on the final invoice and every review that comes in gets a reply drafted for you.

Also working on your profile: Profile optimization, Competitor tracking, Reporting and the assistant. Agencies also get white label and client dashboards.

What changes over the first few months

In the first month you'll have a baseline map for each keyword, a score with a short list of what's missing, and a rewritten description waiting for your approval. Posts start appearing as you approve them.

Over the next two or three months the change is mostly visible on the profile itself: a regular run of posts, a gallery that grows every week, and a reply under every review. Movement on the rank map usually comes after that, and unevenly.

Timing matters in this trade. Setting up before the busy season means the profile is already active when the searches start, rather than catching up in the middle of them.

Questions from landscapers

Can the posts follow my seasons?

Yes. Seasonal posts are one of the kinds it writes, and it knows the time of year. It won't promote a service that isn't on your confirmed list, so if you plow snow in winter, make sure that's on it.

My crews never send photos. Will this help?

It removes the excuses. The upload link opens on any phone with no login, the page asks what the job was and where, and it takes a minute. When the library runs low, you get a task saying so.

I work across several towns. Which one do you track?

Each keyword is searched with your primary city, and the grid covers the area around it, so the map shows how you do in the towns nearby. You can choose a grid 6.5, 13 or 26 miles across.

Should I track 'landscaper' or my individual services?

Usually the services that make you money. You can track up to ten keywords, and the broad term plus two or three of your most profitable jobs tells you far more than the broad term alone.
